941 Krew started right here in North Port over 25 years ago with a crew of homies who all had one thing in common — we loved skateboarding. We spent every minute we could on our boards, from the sidewalks in front of our houses, parking lots, to the streets of Venice. We pushed each other to learn new tricks, but just as important were the endless laughs, good times, and memories we made hanging out.

Eventually, life took us all in different directions.

I stepped away from skateboarding for about 15 years, started a family, and learned a lot about life along the way. Years later, I found my way back to a skateboard — but this time, I got to share it with my youngest son, Kohen. What started as a dad and son having fun at the skatepark slowly became something more: the revival of the 941 Krew.

Today, our goal is simple: help revive and grow the local riding community, but more importantly give people a place to feel like they belong. Whether you skate, ride a scooter or BMX – are just starting out, or your getting back into it after years away, there’s a place for you here.

As the Krew grows, we hope to support local riders, bring more people together, and help the next generation make some of the same great memories skateboarding gave us growing up. We’re still learning, still growing, and excited to see where this thing goes.
